Principal's Message

Dear Glen Lea Families,

One of my favorite moments as principal is hearing a scholar say, “I got it!” after working through something that once felt too hard. I think about those moments when I look at how far Glen Lea has come. Our school earned the sixth-largest increase in school performance scores among Virginia elementary schools. Behind that growth are scholars who kept trying, teachers who helped them take the next step, and families who encouraged them along the way. This November, I’m grateful for each of you.

Help us keep that growth going by bringing or sending your scholar to school on time every day. Our doors open at 7:50 a.m. If transportation or a tough morning routine is getting in the way, please call the main office so we can work with you. 

We miss our scholars when they aren’t here for learning, and I look forward to seeing their faces at the door.
