🦈📚 Our 4th graders practiced the WICK framework to take notes and make sense of nonfiction while reading Who Would Win? books. In small groups, they explored the texts and shared the weirdest and most interesting facts they discovered! 🐍✨ A fun way to build research and reading skills. 💙🦁
🎮🧩🤖 Our students went All In at this exciting event! They competed in Rubik’s Cube, LEGO League, and eSports, learned about robotics from HS students, and cheered each other on every step of the way. 🎉 A highlight was earning 3rd place in the eSports competition!
⚽🔵 Our preschoolers are rolling into learning! Students explored balls, circles, and spheres in the gym through hands-on play. From rolling and bouncing to noticing shapes all around them, our youngest Lions are learning through movement, curiosity, and fun! 💙🦁
🧲✨ Our students explored the power of magnets! Through hands-on activities, they learned about north and south poles, how magnets push and pull, and what it means to attract and repel. Science is even more exciting when you can see it in action! 💙🦁

While some danced the afternoon away, others enjoyed eSports and crafts in the same space — giving everyone a fun way to celebrate their positive choices. 💙🦁 So many smiles, great energy, and well-earned fun!
📘🔍 Our Kindergarten and 1st grade students are building big thinking skills! Using two different nonfiction books, they practiced comparing information by finding what was the same and different between topics like animals and cars. 🐾🚗 Early research skills in action — and lots of curious conversations along the way! 💙🦁
📚✨ We loved hosting author Judd Winick last week! He shared how writers get ideas, what the writing process is like, and inspired our students to see themselves as writers. ✍️💙 Thank you for sparking creativity and excitement around writing — what an unforgettable experience!

💻🎶 Our 4th graders are coding in creative ways! Students explored low-tech coding by designing hopscotch games and dances with step-by-step directions, then moved into high-tech coding to create digital games and music remixes. 🤖✨ From movement to technology, they’re building problem-solving skills and having a blast! 💙🦁
🦸♀️📚 Superhero stories are powering up learning at Glen Lea! Students used these action-packed tales to identify character traits, analyze author’s messages, and take on MakerSpace engineering challenges inspired by the stories. 💡🛠️ A perfect blend of literacy, critical thinking, and creativity — learning with a heroic twist! 💙🦁
